Flowers In The Attic

2003, Jason Byron Nelson.

Submitted to threadless.com as a shirt design where it is still sold today.

The popularity of the design grew rapidly and it soon spread all over  the world in the form of graffiti , tattoos, derivitives and many unsanctioned copies.

A limited, signed edition of 100 silkscreen prints sold out quickly.

A variant, open edition, sold out soon after.

The design is often attributed to Banksy as the style and color palette resemble the famous artist's work… in fact, you can easily find the image online edited to include Banksy's stenciled signature. This only increased popularity of the image as the conversation now included debate and conjecture of its origin.

An NFT of the image and two alternate color variations will go up for bid, winter 2021.
